Programs are held at the Sylvestor Powell Community Center at 6200 Martway in Mission, Kansas on the third Monday of the month (except July, August, and December) at 7:00 PM unless indicated otherwise. May Monthly Program: Lyme Disease, a Hidden Epidemic

There is much misinformation concerning this subject, but May is Lyme disease awareness month. Expert Kathy White will discuss the tickborne diseases in our area, how to recognize symptoms, and how to prevent tick bites. She will also teach us the proper way to remove a tick without injecting more germs. After the program, Kathy will offer tick removal kits at the low cost $4 to anyone interested.
